Rent Mason Bees provides two types of solitary bees for spring and summer pollination: mason bees and leafcutter bees. We will mail your bee kit right to your front door with everything you need to host these gentle bees in your yard.

Why rent? The number one question we were asked last year at the tradeshow was "Why rent?" Mason bee nests and cocoons need to be cleaned every year to prevent pests, such as pollen mites and Houdini flies which lay their eggs on the mason bee pollen, and diseases from devastating your bee population. When you rent from us, you don’t have to worry about any of this. You send your nest block back to us and we do all the cleaning for you. We also store the bees in an ideal environment during their winter hibernation, so they are ready to emerge as soon as temperatures warm up in spring.

Additionally, many of the bees that are propagated through our rental program are used the following spring to pollinate fruit crops, and we work closely with growers to teach them how to safely use mason bees on their farm. Our unique service offers you a way to foster healthy bee populations and promote sustainable food production, with minimal commitment.
